EastEnders star Dame The Estate Of Dame Barbara Windsor has joined forces with Asthma UK to support its #Scarfie campaign, by taking a selfie with a scarf and raising awareness of the condition.

Windsor commented 'As someone with asthma myself, I'm delighted to share my Scarfie for Asthma UK. Many people just don't realise that someone is having a potentially life threatening asthma attack every ten seconds in the UK and that cold weather can trigger asthma attacks for around three quarters of people with asthma. Wrapping a scarf loosely over your nose and mouth really works as it warms the air before you breathe it in. I hope more people get involved, taking a Scarfie only takes a few seconds and by sharing this simple tip you could save someone's life'.
